First Impression - Saucony Peregrine 5

The Peregrine (Falco Peregrinus), also known as the Peregrine Falcon, is renowned for its flying speed of over 300km/h; but no, this shoes will not bring me anywhere near that speed.  I picked up the shoes a week ago and only had a chance to put it on yesterday for a quick spin.

With 12 km in the trail, here's a quick take on the shoes. The initial impression formed over the shoes are pretty promising with the aggressive lugs design giving a lot of bites on the trail terrain. No problem going up and down the hill, but I can't say the same on wet tarmac. Cushioning is sufficient and the fit was also comfortable for my wide feet.   It weights slightly more compare to its road running sibling but it is still a winner in the trail shoes department, it is not heavy.

Will be putting in more mileage over the coming weeks to form a proper opinion over the shoes. A no names mentioned suggested me to take it for a mud bath and I might do just that to make sure the word dirty is appropriately use when the final report is out lolz. Now I better go engage a few mountain goats aka Ah Siao to bring me along for their crazy trail training.

The shoes are kindly provided by Running Lab Malaysia for review purposes; but if you can't wait, the shoes are available in store retailing at RM 429. Watch this space for the full review

  2. Wondering whether you will do Nuang trail. Especially area with heavy mud clay. Would like to know whether the mud will fill up the lugs gap and become slippery. I'm considering buying this shoe.

Product Review - Nike Zoom Streak LT3

A pure speedster... FAST!! I would normally ran a considerably amount of distance with the shoes before I put my opinion on the shoes, but...
